Bell & Gossett expansion tanks are designed to absorb the force of thermal expansion in hydronic heating and domestic potable water systems. Series HFT tanks for hydronic heating systems are available in sizes from 2 - 86 gallons. Residential/Light Commercial HVAC Diaphragm Expansion Tanks Series "HFT" diaphragm-type expansion tanks are precharged to 12 PSI. The Series "HFT" tank is designed to absorb the force of thermal expansion when heating water and to maintain proper pressurization in a closed hydronic system. The heavy-duty butyl diaphragm separates system water from the air in the tank thereby preventing waterlogging problems.
