For sale are ten pieces of titanium tubing with 6.0 millimeter (0.24 inch or about 1/4 inch) outer diameter and 1.0 millimeter (0.04 inch, 1/25th of an inch) wall thickness. The lengths are: 59.8 centimeters; 59.8 cm; 59.4 cm; 59.2 cm; 58.8 cm; 56.2 cm; 53.4 cm; 52.3 cm; 22.7 cm and 10.1 cm. This is a Russian aerospace surplus titanium, fairly soft and can be bent or machined pretty much like low carbon steel. X-ray fluorescence analysis indicates 99+% Titanium content, the only other detectable component is Aluminum (0.5-1.0%). It appears to have spiral seams - the gray finish has just a hint of different shades in a spiral pattern. Otherwise, the surface is smooth, but may have some dust or dirt. The tubes are not straight, there may be up to several millimeter bends and kinks. They are easily bent by hand and the shape can be adjusted to your project requirements. The weight of this material is about 74 grams per meter (22 grams per foot). (We do not proofread any ads submitted by members) |
