I am a BK authorized service center and I went through this radio, fixed the common wear components, mainly ground connections and replaced knobs, rubber boots, inlay and antenna. I ran battery through analyzer and found it to be at 1100 mAh, new they are 1200 mAh. I have it currently programmed for Northern California fire frequencies. I modified the firmware to except ham radio 144-148 MHz frequencies, without loss of performance of 150-174 MHz band. I guarantee the operation of this radio for 30 days, with the reasonable conditions of not being burned, crushed, soaked, etc... If anyone wants BK speaker mics for this radio, I have made a listing here: (We do not proofread any ads submitted by members) |
