Using a mouse control, the machine is operated by a simple menu system, allowing complex programs to be constructed very quickly. The machine has an online help system, which can guide a user, step by step, through set-up, programming and execution of a job. This machine has the ability to cut (sink) any shape into any solid block of material. An electrode (usually copper or graphite) of the required form is fitted to the head of the machine. This electrode can then be programmed to simply sink into the workpiece or follow a more complex path to produce almost any 3D shape the operator may require. The Mondo Star can sink almost any conductive material, regardless of hardness or machinability.
