Just when you thought you owned all of the Kent-Moore Diagnostic tools that were made.....Kent-Moore J-43231 'Stall Monitor'. The design purpose of this tool is capture an intermittant engine stall 'Condition'. Used in conjunction with a scan tool to take a snap shot when the loud Piezo Buzzer (93-96 db) goes off when the engine has just stalled. Allows a automotive Technician to work on some other repair while the engine is allowed to idle unattended in another work bay. The Tool was designed to work on GM engines that use a Fuel pump test lead, or fuse panel 'Prime' cavity in the fuse panel (UBEC). It works by connecting the two alligator clips to the vehicle battery, and the small individual lead to the fuel pump test lead while the engine is running. When the engine stalls, or is turned off normally, the small lead will ground through the fuel pump armature winding to ground, thus energizing an internal relay, which will turn on the Piezo Buzzer. It will work on other non-GM vehicles as well. The fuel pump wire lead terminal end may have to be changed to work on other applications. This item is new and never used.
