This system is fairly easy to install. You just need to drill and tap 2 holes to hang the system, two more for the nozzle, connect an airline, and finally wire the solenoid into control panel and you're ready to go. When cutting with a bandsaw, it is very important to lubricate both sides of the blade equally. Failing to properly lubricate will cause the blade to travel towards the heat, which can result in cuts that are not straight. All of the heat is transferred to the chips. No matter what type of metal you are cutting, the blade and work-piece will remain at room temperature!! All the lubricant is consumed in the cut, this results in dry chips and dry work-pieces. No mess to clean up or toxic coolants to dispose of. Increased blade life of 30-40% can be expected. This system can be installed on any vertical or horizontal bandsaw. The Maglube 2-9 also features a 110-volt solenoid. With this wired to your bandsaw, the sytem comes on automatically when the arm is in a down motion to make a cut. I can make the system without the solenoid and put a manual on / off switch if you prefer. Although once wired up properly, the only thing that will ever require attention is filling up the reservoir periodically. Any questions....please ask!! The Maglube 2-9 system has a few control adjustments to give you the perfect setup. 1. The pump has a black dial that controls the droplet size being pumped through. Fully tightened is the maximum droplet size of 1/30 CC. This allows more or less lubricant to be delivered to the routing tip. 2. The airflow adjustment is on the right side of the system. This knob can be turned in either direction to increase of decrease the amount of airflow. 3. The pulse generator inside the system controls how many times the pump strokes pump per minute while the system is on. You can adjust the rate from 5 - 200 times per minute. On the outside of the unit is a coalescing filter, this is helpful in keeping water, dirt or any other debris out of the system. The Maglube 2-9 features a 10 ounce reservoir and 18 feet of oil and airline. This should be plenty of hose to run from the system to the arm of the bandsaw where the nozzle will be mounted.
