This is a great 375 watt REGULATED supply. We purchased hundreds of these to use in a large mobile radio system. We selected this model because it is adjustable to 13.8 volts, so we could float a large gell cell battery in parellel with the base station radios. We operated some sites with one supply and others with up to 3 in parellel. The input will auto-range from 85 to 264 VAC. This is feature is great if you have it installed where the AC power is unpredectable, or the building netrual line is poorly grounded. In some shared radio facilities, the AC neutral will swing as much as 20 volts with air conditioning, paging transmitters, and other loads cycling. Should an over-voltage or over-current situation occur, the supply will not shut down completely (like Lambda, Astron, and most others), requiring a trip to the site to reset. When a fault condition occurs, the supply will "stutter," or in other words, it will rapidly restore power and sample for a fault. If the fault continues, it shuts down until the next try, about a second later. Normal industrial user price is $308 each from distributors like Allied Radio.
