This is a brand new radio from Motorola that was introduced during May, 2006. It has 2 channels and 1 watt. It looks like the XTN series, however, it is about 3/4 inch shorter. The height of the body of the radio is only 4.5 inches, which is similiar to the SP21. Size wise it is shorter than the SP10, XTN and M series radios and taller than the CLS and Spirit GT series radios. It operates on FCC frequencies reserved for business use. It operates on 27 VHF business exclusive frequencies and features 121 private codes to help ensure a clear signal. Included is a drop in charger that keeps radios centrally located and charged. The rechargeable NiMH battery provides up to 9 hours of battery life, enough to cover a standard work shift. It offers a durable, lightweight design. It weighs less than 8 oz and is easy for employees to carry and hold all day. It is built to last. It has undergone the Motorola Accelerated Life Testing to simulate the daily rigors of the workplace. It is simple and easy to use. The two channel operation keeps it easy. There is little to no training required. It is compatible with any other two-way radios operating on the same frequency and private code. It has frequencies that are compatible with the Motorola SP10, SP21, Spirit M series, CLS series, XTN series, CP100, CP125, VL50, Spirit GT, and other Motorola radios.
