NIAGARA NO 2 36" SHEET METAL GROOVER For grooving or closing longitudinal semas in sheet metal cylinders after edges have been prepared on folder and sheet formed into a cylinder on forming rolls. Round anvil horn has 4 sides. Arranged for grooving and flattening the seam. The grooving roll is in action on the way forward and the flattening roll on the return trip, the change taking place automatically. This arrangement saves time and insures a good seam without straining the machine. ROUND HORN is reversible and of such diameter that work 2 inches diameter and larger can be grooved, either towards the inside or towards the outside. The horn carries a stop which can be adjusted according to the length of the work. SEAM Inside seam is obtained by using the flat rolls and pressing the seam into one of the grooves planed into the horn. The grooved rolls are used for outside seams.
