This is a quality commercial radio which will perform very well in high RF environments found in large cities. I have used this radio in New York City, Las Vegas, Nv and Tampa, Fl. and have not experienced any intermod in comparison to my Yaesu VX-5 which is virtually useless in this kind of setting. This radio has 16 channels and can be programmed with either CTCSS or DES tones as well as wide or narrow band operation. You can add or delete channels that you want to scan from the front keypad as well as select high or low power from the side mounted button. This is a great radio for GMRS or FRS use. It also makes a super 440 MHz ham band portable. The radio comes with the antenna and battery. The battery holds a charge and appears to have a large enough capacity to get you through an entire days use. (depending on how much you talk and if you use the high power transmit level) I will program this radio free of charge at the time of purchase and later if you need any changes made. The only thing you need to do is send me via email a list of the frequencies you want programmed in as well as any CTCSS (PL) tones. (We do not proofread any ads submitted by members) |
