There are NO military manuals added to "beef up" the "volume count"! You get no hype here, just good value and honesty. This manual covers the Tektronix TG501A Time Mark Generator Plugin. It is scanned from the original manufacturer's manual. The scans came out well, and all information available in the original manual is available here. Two PDFs of the manual are provided, in two resolutions. One is: Text with Drawings at 600dpi black and white Schematics at 600dpi black and white Text with photos at 600dpi grayscale with contrast adjusted Any schematics, board overlays w/color at 600dpi 256 colors Foldout pages are supplied as A4 (8-1/2x11") pages within the "main" manual for ease of printing, and are also supplied in a separate "foldouts.pdf" document in A3 (17x11") for they who prefer them. The pages can be printed as needed or the information taken directly from the computer screen. The pages are completely readable and are fine for technicians and engineers who need service and operations information. Any technical notes by engineering and technical personnel are retained in this document. And it's fully bookmarked and extensively hyperlinked. This "very high resolution" or "reproduction grade scan" looks nice, but for many purposes uses excessive resources. It's kind of like driving to work every day in a Greyhound bus. You can copy the large file to the hard drive in an attempt to achieve maximum performance, but having that be a necessity is certainly of no benefit to you. Therefore, although it's great to have this resolution for those times you need higher definition (printing, mainly), we include a second scan in standard resolutions for daily research and use on the bench. The second scan is done in resolutions that vary depending on individual page content, but are never higher than needed to produce a useable quality, quickly navigable file that will do the job without consuming more time and resources than are needed. On the CD you'll receive the large "very high resolution" file, plus the smaller, faster and often more useable text-searchable version. ALL original manual pages are supplied. Some vendors proudly advertise page counts and file sizes, but since those counts and sizes are very often artificially inflated with advertising, shareware beg screens and/or blank pages, we refrain from joining them and instead assure you that these manuals are complete and are scanned in the specified resolutions.
